15:6 Absalom acted this way toward everyone in Israel who came to the king for justice. In this way Absalom won the loyalty ¹  of the citizens ²  of Israel.

15:1 Some time later Absalom managed to acquire ³  a chariot and horses, as well as fifty men to serve as his royal guard. ⁴ 

2 Samuel 12:3

12:3 But the poor man had nothing except for a little lamb he had acquired. He raised it, and it grew up alongside him and his children. ⁵  It used to ⁶  eat his food, ⁷  drink from his cup, and sleep in his arms. ⁸  It was just like a daughter to him.

Jeremiah Petitions the Lord to Punish Those Who Attack Him

18:18 Then some people ¹⁴  said, “Come on! Let us consider how to deal with Jeremiah! ¹⁵  There will still be priests to instruct us, wise men to give us advice, and prophets to declare God’s word. ¹⁶  Come on! Let’s bring charges against him and get rid of him! ¹⁷  Then we will not need to pay attention to anything he says.”
